Chris Barrie Biography
Chris Barrie (born Christopher Jonathan Brown, 28 March 1960) is a British actor, comedian, and impressionist. He gained popularity as a vocal impressionist on the ITV sketch show Spitting Image (1984–1996) and is well-known for portraying Arnold Rimmer in the sci-fi space comedy Red Dwarf (1988–2020). Barrie also starred as Gordon Brittas in the BBC sitcom The Brittas Empire (1991–1997). He appeared as Lara Croft's butler Hillary in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) and Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (2003). Born in Hanover, Germany, Barrie attended Methodist College Belfast before beginning his television career as a sports personality impersonator. He has made significant contributions to the entertainment industry.
