Chris Christie

Christopher James Christie (born September 6, 1962) is an American politician and former federal prosecutor. He served as the 55th governor of New Jersey from 2010 to 2018. Christie is a member of the Republican Party and was the United States Attorney for New Jersey from 2002 to 2008. Born in Newark, New Jersey and raised in Livingston, Christie graduated from the University of Delaware in 1984 and earned a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law. He worked as a county freeholder in Morris County, New Jersey from 1995 to 1998 and was involved in the campaigns of Presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush. As U.S. Attorney for New Jersey, Christie successfully convicted 130 public officials at the local and state levels.
