Chris Cooper

Christopher Walton Cooper (born July 9, 1951) is an American actor known for his roles in major Hollywood films such as American Beauty (1999), October Sky (1999), and The Bourne Identity (2002). He has also appeared in acclaimed movies like Capote (2005), Syriana (2005), and Little Women (2019). Cooper's notable television role was as Sheriff July Johnson in the miniseries Lonesome Dove (1989). He received critical acclaim for his performance as John Laroche in the film Adaptation (2002), which earned him an Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor. Other significant roles include playing FBI agent Robert Hanssen in Breach (2007) and Norman Osborn in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014).
