Chris DeRose Biography
Chris DeRose (born June 28, 1948) is an American animal rights activist, former actor, and author. He gained recognition for his work as a regular on several TV series, including San Pedro Beach Bums, General Hospital, Cagney and Lacey, CHiPs, The Rockford Files, and Baretta. DeRose also appeared in 14 feature films and served as an on-camera reporter for shows like Hard Copy and Inside Edition. In addition to his acting career, DeRose is the founder and president of Last Chance for Animals (LCA), a renowned animal rights organization. He has been arrested 12 times and jailed four times for his activism against animal cruelty. DeRose is also the author of the book 'In Your Face: From Actor to Animal Activist.'
