Chris Elliott Biography
Christopher Nash Elliott (born May 31, 1960) is an American actor, comedian, writer, director, and author. Known for his comedic talent, Elliott gained recognition for his appearances in sketches on Late Night with David Letterman from 1982 to 1988. He created and starred in the comedy series Get a Life on Fox from 1990 to 1992, and wrote and starred in the film Cabin Boy in 1994. Elliott's writing has earned him four consecutive Primetime Emmy Awards. He has had recurring roles on Everybody Loves Raymond from 2003 to 2005 and How I Met Your Mother from 2009 to 2014. He also starred as Chris Monsanto in Adult Swim's Eagleheart from 2011 to 2014 and as Roland Schitt in Schitt's Creek from 2015 to 2020. In addition to his television work, Elliott has appeared in films such as Groundhog Day (1993), There's Something About Mary (1998), Snow Day (2000), and Scary Movie 2 (2001). Born in New York City, Elliott is the youngest of five children. His parents are Lee, a model and TV director, and Bob Elliott, who was part of the successful comedy team Bob and Ray.
