Frederick Christopher Klein, known as Chris Klein, is an American actor born on March 14, 1979. He gained recognition for his role as Paul Metzler in the film Election and as Chris 'Oz' Ostreicher in the American Pie comedy teen films. Klein has also portrayed the serial killer Cicada in The Flash and recently appeared as Bill Townsend in the Netflix series Sweet Magnolias. Raised in Brookfield, Illinois, Klein comes from German, Irish, and English descent. His mother, Terese, works as a kindergarten teacher, while his father, Fred, is an engineer. Klein has two siblings, an older sister named Debbie and a younger brother named Timothy. He developed his passion for acting while performing in community theater during his childhood, before his family relocated to Omaha, Nebraska.
