Chris Noth is an American actor known for his television roles in popular shows such as Law & Order, Sex and the City, and The Good Wife. He portrayed NYPD Detective Mike Logan on Law & Order from 1990 to 1995 and reprised the role on Law & Order: Criminal Intent from 2005 to 2008. Noth gained further recognition as 'Big' on Sex and the City from 1998 to 2004 and appeared in the film adaptations of the series. He also portrayed Peter Florrick in The Good Wife from 2009 to 2016. In 2021, Noth starred in the revival of The Equalizer and appeared in the revival of Sex and the City. Noth has received nominations for his performances in both Sex and the City and The Good Wife. He was born on November 13, 1954, in Madison, Wisconsin.
