Chris Stein

Christopher Stein (born January 5, 1950) is an American musician, producer, performer, and photographer. He is best known as the co-founder and guitarist of the new wave band Blondie. Stein began his musical career in 1973 as the guitarist for the Stilettos and later formed Blondie with Debbie Harry and the band's rhythm section. The group quickly became fixtures in the punk and new wave scene, achieving international stardom by the end of the decade. Blondie disbanded in 1982 but reunited in 1997 and has been active off and on ever since. Stein is also known for his work as a producer and performer for the film soundtracks of Wild Style and Union City. Additionally, he is an accomplished photographer.
