Christian Robinson

Christian Robinson is an American illustrator of children's books and animator. Born on August 2, 1986 in Los Angeles, California, he was raised by his grandmother in a one-bedroom home shared by six people. Robinson began his career in animation before transitioning to children's books, influenced by mentor Ben Butcher. He is based in Sacramento, California and has collaborated with The Sesame Street Workshop and Pixar Animation Studios. Robinson graduated from the California Institute of the Arts. Notably, he received a Coretta Scott King Illustrator Honor and a Caldecott Honor for his work on the book 'Last Stop on Market Street,' which also won the 2016 Newbery Medal.
