Christina Koch
Christina Koch is an American engineer and NASA astronaut. Born on January 29, 1979, she is a member of the class of 2013. Koch holds Bachelor of Science degrees in electrical engineering and physics, as well as a Master of Science in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University. Before joining NASA, she worked at the Goddard Space Flight Center and served as the station chief for American Samoa at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Koch made history on October 18, 2019, when she and Jessica Meir became the first women to participate in an all-female spacewalk. She also holds the record for the longest continuous time in space by a woman, spending a total of 328 days on the International Space Station.
