Christopher Jacob Abbott (born February 10, 1986) is an American actor known for his work in independent films. He made his feature film debut in 2011 with 'Martha Marcy May Marlene' and his Broadway debut in the revival of 'The House of Blue Leaves'. Abbott received a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Lead for his role in 'James White' (2015) and portrayed astronaut David Scott in 'First Man' (2018). He has appeared in supporting roles in films like 'A Most Violent Year' (2014) and 'It Comes at Night' (2017). Abbott earned a Golden Globe Award nomination for his portrayal of John Yossarian in the miniseries 'Catch-22' (2019).
