Poor Things

Poor Things is a 2023 black comedy fantasy film directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, starring Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe, Ramy Youssef, Christopher Abbott, and Jerrod Carmichael. Based on the novel by Alasdair Gray, it follows Bella Baxter, a young Victorian woman who is resurrected by a scientist after her suicide. She then embarks on a journey of self-discovery and liberation with a charismatic lawyer.
