Willem Dafoe Biography
Willem Dafoe is an American actor known for his versatile performances in film and television. Born on July 22, 1955, Dafoe has received numerous accolades throughout his career, including nominations for four Academy Awards, a BAFTA Award, three Golden Globe Awards, and four Screen Actors Guild Awards. He has collaborated with acclaimed directors such as Paul Schrader, Abel Ferrara, Lars von Trier, Julian Schnabel, Wes Anderson, and Robert Eggers. In addition to his film work, Dafoe was a founding member of the experimental theater company The Wooster Group. Some of his notable roles include Jesus Christ in 'The Last Temptation of Christ' (1988) and FBI Agent Alan Ward in 'Mississippi Burning' (1988).
