Christopher Atkins Biography
Christopher Atkins Bomann, born on February 21, 1961, is an American actor and businessman. He is best known for his role in the 1980 film The Blue Lagoon, where he played the lead alongside Brooke Shields. Atkins also portrayed the character Peter Richards on the TV show Dallas from 1983 to 1984. Born and raised in Rye, New York, Atkins initially aspired to be a baseball player but turned to modeling and later acting. He dropped his last name Bomann and used his middle name, Atkins, professionally. Despite having no prior acting experience, Atkins impressed director Randal Kleiser during his audition for The Blue Lagoon, leading to his breakthrough role.
