Christopher Haden-Guest, known professionally as Christopher Guest, is an American-British screenwriter, composer, musician, director, actor, and comedian. He is most recognized for his series of comedy films shot in mockumentary style, which he wrote, directed, and starred in. The series began with the iconic film 'This Is Spinal Tap' and continued with 'Waiting for Guffman,' 'Best in Show,' 'A Mighty Wind,' 'For Your Consideration,' and 'Mascots.' Guest's films often involve improvised scenes and ensemble casts. In addition to his successful film career, Guest holds the hereditary British peerage as the 5th Baron Haden-Guest and has expressed support for the reform of the House of Lords.
