Chuck Liddell, born Charles David Liddell on December 17, 1969, is an American former professional mixed martial artist. He is widely recognized as a key figure in popularizing MMA in the United States alongside fellow UFC fighter Randy Couture. Liddell, also known as 'The Iceman,' had an impressive career, holding the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship and achieving a 16-7 record in the UFC, with 13 wins by knockout. With a total professional record of 21-9, Liddell retired in 2010 but returned for one fight in 2018 against Tito Ortiz. In 2009, he was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. Liddell was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California, and began training in Karate at the age of 12.
