Ciera Payton

Ciera Payton (born January 26, 1986) is an American actress and writer. She has appeared in television series such as The Walking Dead, General Hospital, Graceland, and NCIS. Payton gained recognition for her supporting role as Sylvia in Tyler Perry's A Madea Family Funeral. Currently, she stars in the BET soap opera The Oval. Payton graduated from the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts and received her bachelor of fine arts degree in drama from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Her acting career began with the feature film Flight of Fury (2007) alongside Steven Seagal. Notably, she made her off-Broadway debut in Savannah Black and Blue. Payton later appeared in the BBC American reboot of Torchwood.
