Cillian Murphy

Cillian Murphy is an Irish actor known for his diverse range of roles in film and television. He made his professional debut in 1996, starring in the play Disco Pigs, which he later reprised in the 2001 screen adaptation. Murphy's early notable film credits include 28 Days Later (2002), Intermission (2003), Red Eye (2005), The Wind That Shakes the Barley (2006), and Sunshine (2007). He received a Golden Globe Award nomination for his portrayal of a transgender Irish woman in Breakfast on Pluto (2005). Murphy has collaborated with filmmaker Christopher Nolan, appearing in The Dark Knight Trilogy (2005–2012), Inception (2010), and Dunkirk (2017). He gained widespread recognition for his role as Tommy Shelby in the BBC series Peaky Blinders (2013–2022).
