Cindy Pickett

Cindy Pickett is an American actress known for her roles in both television and film. In the 1970s, she portrayed Jackie Marler-Spaulding on the CBS soap opera Guiding Light, and in the 1980s, she played Dr. Carol Novino on the acclaimed television drama St. Elsewhere. However, Pickett gained widespread recognition for her role as Katie Bueller, the loving and unsuspecting mother in the 1986 comedy movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off. She has also appeared in notable cinematic roles such as Valerie St. John in Roger Vadim's 1980 film Night Games and Dr. Diane Norris in the 1989 sci-fi-horror film DeepStar Six. Pickett was born in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and is the daughter of Cecil Pickett, a director and drama teacher at the University of Houston.
