Cynthia Leigh Wilson (born February 28, 1957) is an American musician and founding member of the new wave rock band the B-52's. Known for her distinctive contralto voice, Wilson is a vocalist, songwriter, and percussionist for the band. She also released two solo EPs, Sunrise (2016) and Supernatural (2017), and her debut solo album, Change, in 2017. Wilson was born and raised in Athens, Georgia, and is the younger sister of the late guitarist Ricky Wilson, also a founding member of the B-52's. Her musical career began when Ricky invited her to harmonize with his guitar playing. Wilson continues to be actively involved in the music industry.
