Claes Bang Biography
Claes Kasper Bang is a Danish actor and musician, born on April 28, 1967, in Odense, Denmark. He gained international recognition for his leading role as Christian in the 2017 film The Square, directed by Ruben Östlund, which won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. Bang also portrayed Fjölnir in Robert Eggers's 2022 film The Northman. In 2019, he joined the final season of The Affair, playing the role of Sasha Mann. His portrayal of Count Dracula in the BBC/Netflix series Dracula (2020) further solidified his fame. Apart from acting, Bang has pursued a music career under the name This Is Not America. He made history as the first Dane to win the European Film Award for Best Actor, thanks to his role in The Square.
