Clare Balding Biography
Clare Victoria Balding is an English broadcast journalist and author. Born on January 29, 1971, she is best known for her work as a presenter for BBC Sport, Channel 4, and BT Sport. Balding has also hosted the religious program Good Morning Sunday on BBC Radio 2. In addition to her broadcasting career, she was appointed as the 30th president of the Rugby Football League, serving a two-year term until December 2022. Balding was privately educated at Downe House School in Berkshire and later attended Newnham College, Cambridge, where she studied English. She is the daughter of Ian Balding, a renowned horse trainer, and Emma Hastings-Bass. Balding is also known for her tenth-cousin relationship with comedian Miranda Hart, as they share a common ancestor in Sir William Leveson-Gower, 4th Baronet.
