Clarence Clemons Biography
Clarence Clemons (January 11, 1942 – June 18, 2011), also known as The Big Man, was an American saxophonist. He was the saxophonist for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band from 1972 until his death in 2011. Clemons released several solo albums and had a hit single in 1985 with 'You're a Friend of Mine', a duet with Jackson Browne. He also featured as a guest musician on Aretha Franklin's 'Freeway of Love'. Clemons appeared in films such as 'New York, New York' and 'Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure'. He made cameo appearances in TV series including 'Diff'rent Strokes', 'Nash Bridges', 'The Simpsons', 'My Wife and Kids', and 'The Wire'. Clemons published an autobiography titled 'Big Man: Real Life & Tall Tales' in 2009 and a documentary about his life titled 'Clarence Clemons: Who Do I Think I Am?' was released in 2019.
