Clarissa Ward (born January 31, 1980) is a British-American television journalist and the chief international correspondent for CNN. She previously worked for CBS News and ABC News. Ward was born in London to a British father and American mother and grew up in London and New York City. She attended Godstowe and Wycombe Abbey boarding schools in England before graduating from Yale University in 2002. Ward began her career at Fox News as an overnight desk assistant in 2003 and went on to work as an assignment editor and field producer. Throughout her career, she has covered major global events and has been recognized for her reporting.
