Clay Aiken, born Clayton Holmes Aiken (né Grissom) on November 30, 1978, is an American singer, television personality, actor, politician, and activist. He gained fame as the runner-up on the second season of American Idol in 2003. Aiken's debut album, Measure of a Man, achieved multi-platinum status. He went on to release four more albums on the RCA label, including a Christmas album and a Christmas EP. Aiken has sold over 5 million albums, making him the fourth-highest-selling American Idol alumnus. His achievements also extend to writing a bestselling memoir, co-authoring a Christmas special, and appearing on Broadway in Spamalot. Aiken's career is marked by success in both music and television.
