    Claybourne Elder (born April 21, 1982) is an American actor, singer, and writer. Best known for his work on television and Broadway, Elder hails from Springville, Utah. He is the youngest of eight siblings, with a mother who is a schoolteacher and a father who is a carpenter. Elder started his artistic journey as a violinist in the school orchestra. He later pursued acting, studying at the Moscow Klasse Centre in Russia, Brigham Young University, and the University of Utah, where he earned a degree in dramaturgy and directing. Elder's notable achievements include a Drama Desk Award nomination for his role in One Arm and a Lucille Lortel Award nomination for Allegro.
