Clem Burke, born Clement Anthony Bozewski on November 24, 1954, is an American musician known for his drumming skills. He is most recognized as the drummer for the band Blondie, joining shortly after its formation in 1975 and continuing throughout their entire career. In addition to Blondie, Burke also briefly played drums for the Ramones in 1987, adopting the name Elvis Ramone. Before his time with Blondie, he gained experience as a drummer in various bands, including Total Environment and Sweet Willie Jam Band. Burke's drumming played a crucial role in maintaining the cohesion of Blondie, particularly after the departure of their original bassist. His unique style has contributed to the success and longevity of both Blondie and the Ramones.
