Clifford David Biography
Clifford David (June 30, 1928 – November 30, 2017) was an American actor, singer, and coach. He started his career in the 1950s, appearing in live television shows before transitioning to Broadway musicals. David also took on character roles in various television series, feature films, and theatre productions. Born in Toledo, Ohio, he was the youngest son of Farris and Lily (née Abdow) and had a notable uncle, Syrian Orthodox Metropolitan Samuel David of Toledo. As a protégé of Lee Strasberg, he made his Broadway debut in Albert Camus' Caligula, directed by Sidney Lumet. His filmography includes works such as Invitation to a Gunfighter (1964) and M. Night Shyamalan's Signs.
