Clive Merrison Biography
Clive Merrison (born September 15, 1945) is a British actor known for his work in film, television, stage, and radio. He trained at Rose Bruford College. Merrison is best known for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes in the long-running BBC Radio series, having played the iconic detective in all 64 episodes of the 1989–1998 series, as well as all 16 episodes of The Further Adventures of Sherlock Holmes from 2002 to 2010. Merrison has made numerous television appearances, including roles in Reilly: Ace of Spies, Doctor Who, Yes, Prime Minister, Bergerac, The Bill, Midsomer Murders, Foyle's War, Lewis, and more.
