Cocoa Brown Biography
Cocoa Brown, born Farah Brown on October 9, 1972, is an American actress, writer, and comedian. She gained recognition for her roles as Jennifer in Tyler Perry's For Better Or Worse and Lytia in Single Moms Club. Brown was born in Newport News, Virginia and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Secondary Education from The University of Phoenix. Brown started her career in comedy, performing in comedy stage shows such as BET's ComicView and One Mic Stand, as well as Showtime at the Apollo. She later transitioned to television, appearing in guest roles on ER and Breaking Bad. In 2011, Brown joined the cast of Tyler Perry's For Better or Worse, playing the character of Jennifer for six seasons on the Oprah Winfrey Network comedy series.
