Colin Friels Biography
Colin Friels is a Scottish-born Australian actor known for his work in theatre, TV, and film. Born on 25 September 1952 in Kilwinning, Ayrshire, Scotland, Friels moved to Australia with his family in 1963. Before pursuing acting, he worked as a bricklayer's labourer. Friels graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 1976 and began his career in theatre and television. He gained recognition as a presenter on the Australian version of Play School in 1980. Friels made his film debut in the unreleased Prisoners (1981), followed by his first released film, Hoodwink (1981), where he starred alongside his future wife, Judy Davis. Friels has since appeared in numerous films and TV shows, showcasing his versatile acting skills.
