Colin Morgan is a Northern Irish actor who was born on January 1, 1986. He gained fame for his portrayal of the title character in the BBC fantasy series Merlin from 2008 to 2012. He also played Leo Elster in the television series Humans from 2015 to 2018 and Billy Clanton in Kenneth Branagh's Belfast in 2021. Morgan made his London theatre debut in 2007 and went on to appear in various theatre productions. In 2008, he was recognized as a 'Star of Tomorrow' by Screen International. Morgan was nominated for several awards for his role in Merlin, including Outstanding Actor (Drama) in the Monte Carlo TV Festival Awards.
