Colin Moss
Colin Moss (30 April 1914 – 16 December 2005) was a British artist and teacher who served as a camouflage designer during World War Two. Born in Ipswich, Moss studied at the Plymouth Art School and the Royal College of Art, specializing in oil painting. He gained recognition for his work on murals for the British Pavilion at the 1939 New York World's Fair. During the war, Moss joined the Ministry of Home Security as a camouflage officer and technician. He was one of the eighty-three individuals involved in the Ministry's camouflage efforts. Moss was known for his socialist beliefs and pride in his working-class roots.
