Colin O'Donoghue

Colin O'Donoghue, born on January 26, 1981, is an Irish actor and musician. He gained recognition for his role as Captain Killian 'Hook' Jones on the ABC TV show Once Upon a Time. O'Donoghue also appeared in the 2011 horror thriller film The Rite, playing the role of skeptical novice priest Michael Kovak. He portrayed Douxie Casperan in the Guillermo del Toro animated series Tales of Arcadia for Netflix and is currently portraying Gordon Cooper on the Disney+ Original Series The Right Stuff. O'Donoghue starred as J.J. Sneed in Dolly Parton's Heartstrings. Raised in a Roman Catholic family in Drogheda, County Louth, O'Donoghue attended Dundalk Grammar School and The Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin. He began his career in theatre and television in Ireland and the UK before gaining international recognition.
