Common, born Lonnie Rashid Lynn on March 13, 1972, is an American rapper, actor, and activist. He gained recognition in the music industry with his debut album 'Can I Borrow a Dollar?' in 1992 and received critical acclaim for his 1994 album 'Resurrection.' Throughout his career, Common has achieved significant success, earning three Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a Golden Globe Award. He reached mainstream success with his album 'Like Water for Chocolate' in 2000 and continued to make an impact with his albums 'Be' in 2005 and 'Finding Forever' in 2007. Common is also known for his collaborations with the Soulquarians.
