Cornell John (born 1963) is a British actor known for his roles in films and television shows. He made his screen debut in the TV series The Knock and later appeared in Maisie Raine and Lenny Henry in Pieces. John gained recognition for his role as Curtis in the films Kidulthood (2006), Adulthood (2008), and Brotherhood. He also starred as Sam James in the BBC soap opera EastEnders in 2013. Additionally, John originated the role of Mufasa in the West End production of The Lion King. His notable film appearances include Rottweiler and Red Mercury. John's portrayal of Curtis in the Kidulthood trilogy remains his most notable role.
