Courteney Cox

Courteney Bass Cox, born June 15, 1964, is an American actress and filmmaker. She gained international recognition for her starring role in Misfits in Science and became widely known as Monica Geller on the NBC sitcom Friends (1994–2004), receiving seven Screen Actors Guild Award nominations and winning one. Cox also starred as Gale Weathers in the horror film franchise Scream (1996–present). She had notable roles as Lauren Miller in the sitcom Family Ties (1987–1989), Lucy Spiller on the drama series Dirt (2007–2008), and Jules Cobb on the sitcom Cougar Town (2009–2015), earning Golden Globe and Critics' Choice Award nominations. Cox has appeared in films such as Masters of the Universe (1987), Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994), Barnyard (2006), Bedtime Stories (2008), and Mother's Day (2016).
