Courtney Act Biography
Shane Gilberto Jenek, professionally known as Courtney Act, is an Australian drag queen, singer, and television personality. Born on February 18, 1982, Courtney gained recognition after competing on the first season of Australian Idol in 2003. She signed to BMG Australia (now Sony Music Australia) and released her debut single, 'Rub Me Wrong,' which reached No. 29 on the ARIA Singles Chart and achieved gold certification. Notably, Courtney was the first openly LGBTQ contestant on a reality TV talent show. She was also a runner-up on season six of RuPaul's Drag Race in 2014. Additionally, Courtney has released the EP 'Kaleidoscope' (2015), performed with the drag girl-group, The AAA Girls, and has appeared on various North American TV shows.
