Courtney Friel (born April 22, 1980) is an American anchor and reporter. She is currently working as an anchor and reporter for KTLA in Los Angeles. Prior to her current role, Friel covered entertainment for KTTV, a Fox owned-and-operated station in Los Angeles, as well as other local stations and Fox News. She has contributed to various entertainment-related programs for FoxNews.com and was a frequent guest contributor on the late-night satire show Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld. Friel attended Methacton High School in Pennsylvania and was actively involved in the school's media production class. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from San Diego State University.
