Courtney Love

Courtney Michelle Love (née Harrison; born July 9, 1964) is an American singer, guitarist, songwriter, and actress. Known for her role in the alternative and grunge scenes of the 1990s, Love's career spans over four decades. She gained recognition as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the alternative rock band Hole, which she formed in 1989. Love's live performances and confrontational lyrics have garnered attention. Apart from music, she has also pursued acting. Love, who was named one of the most influential singers in alternative culture by NME in 2020, had an itinerant childhood, actively participating in the local punk scene in Portland, Oregon. She later explored an acting career and appeared in supporting roles.
