Courtney Taylor-Taylor, born on July 20, 1967, is an American singer-songwriter, and the lead singer and guitarist of the alternative rock band The Dandy Warhols. He co-founded the band and has written the majority of their songs. Taylor-Taylor is also a co-writer of the graphic novel 'One Model Nation' and its accompanying studio album 'Totalwerks, Vol. 1 (1969–1977),' both released in 2009 and 2012 respectively. He attended Sunset High School in Beaverton, Oregon, and studied sociology, psychology, and music at Cascade College in Portland. Taylor-Taylor found solace in the works of Friedrich Nietzsche and Kurt Vonnegut during his teenage years.
