Craig Theodore Nelson (born April 4, 1944) is an American actor known for his roles in various movies and TV shows. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Hayden Fox in the sitcom Coach, which earned him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. Nelson has appeared in films such as Stir Crazy (1980), Poltergeist (1982), All The Right Moves (1983), and The Devil's Advocate (1997). He is also recognized for his voiceover work as Bob Parr/Mr. Incredible in The Incredibles (2004) and its sequel. Nelson played Zeek Braverman in the TV series Parenthood and currently portrays Dale Ballard on Young Sheldon. He was born in Spokane, Washington, to Vera and Armand Nelson.
