Cress Williams (born July 26, 1970) is an American actor known for his roles in Prison Break, Close to Home, and the CW series Hart of Dixie and Black Lightning. He also appeared as Terrence 'Scooter' Williams on Fox's Living Single and Inspector Antwon Babcock on Nash Bridges. Williams was born in Heidelberg, West Germany, to American parents and later studied at Fullerton College and the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre. He has had an extensive career in television, including appearances on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Beverly Hills, 90210.
