Cristina Saavedra

Cristina Saavedra Pita (born November 13, 1975) is a Spanish journalist and television presenter. She started her career as a reporter at Televisión de Galicia before becoming a news anchor for four years. Saavedra gained national recognition for her work on the program Ahora, initially co-presenting with journalist Liborio Garcia and later hosting the show on her own. Ahora aired on Antena 3 for nearly six years, with over five hundred episodes. Following the end of Ahora, Saavedra joined La Sexta, where she served as the substitute presenter for the Sunday evening news program La Sexta Noticias from September 2006 to the end of 2012.
