Dale Soules Biography
Dale Soules (born October 2, 1946) is an American actress known for her roles in The Messenger and as Frieda Berlin in the TV series Orange Is the New Black from 2014 to 2019. Born and raised in Greenwood Lake, West Milford, New Jersey, Soules developed a passion for acting while attending West Milford High School. She honed her skills by performing in summer stock theater, singing in church choirs, and studying acting at HB Studio. In the mid-60s, Soules moved to New York to pursue her acting career and worked behind the scenes in various theater positions. She made her Broadway debut in 1968 in the original production of Hair and has since appeared in numerous theater productions, including The Magic Show, Hands on a Hard Body, Grey Gardens, and The Crucible.
