Dalip Tahil

Dalip Tahil (born Dalip Tahilramani; 30 October 1952) is an Indian film, television, and theatre actor. He is well-known for his work in several movies, including Baazigar (1993), Raja (1995), Hum hai rahi pyar ke (1993), and Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988). In addition to his film career, Tahil has also appeared in the UK on the BBC soap opera EastEnders as Dan Ferreira, the head of the Ferreira family, from June to December 2003. Born in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India, Tahil comes from a Sindhi Hindu family that migrated from Sindh during the Partition of India. He studied at Sherwood College in Nainital and graduated from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai.
