Dallas Malloy is a former boxer who achieved recognition for her role in breaking barriers for women in the sport. In 1993, Malloy successfully sued USA Boxing for denying her application due to her gender and became the first woman to compete in a sanctioned amateur boxing match in the United States. She defeated Heather Poyner in this groundbreaking match. Beyond her boxing career, Malloy made a cameo appearance as herself in the opening scene of the film Jerry Maguire. Additionally, she has overcome personal struggles with addiction and has been sober since January 14, 1997. Malloy continues to inspire others with her story of resilience and determination.
