Damian Hill

Damian Hill (c. 1976-2018) was an Australian actor, screenwriter, and playwright known for his work in film and television. He gained recognition for his role as an actor and writer in the film Pawno, which earned him multiple nominations at the 2016 AACTA Awards. Hill also received a nomination for Best Actor in 2018 for his performance in West of Sunshine. Tragically, he passed away on September 22, 2018. In honor of his contributions to independent film, the Damian Hill Independent Film was established at the 2019 Melbourne International Film Festival. Hill's writing contributions can also be seen in the 2020 film Measure for Measure, which was dedicated to him. He had notable appearances in TV shows such as Nowhere Boys, Neighbours, Winners & Losers, and Rush.
