Damon Hill
Damon Graham Devereux Hill (born 17 September 1960) is a British former professional racing driver. He is best known for being the 1996 Formula One World Champion. Hill started his racing career on motorbikes in 1981 before transitioning to single-seater racing cars. In 1992, he became a test driver for the Williams Formula One team and was promoted to the race team the next year. Hill achieved his first victory at the 1993 Hungarian Grand Prix and went on to win a total of 22 races. During the mid-1990s, he had a fierce rivalry with Michael Schumacher. Hill eventually won the championship in 1996 with eight wins. After that, he was dropped by Williams for the following season.
