Daniel Eugene Butler, born December 2, 1954, is an American actor known for his roles in various TV shows and films. He portrayed Bob 'Bulldog' Briscoe on the popular TV series Frasier from 1993 to 2004. Additionally, he played the character Art in Roseanne from 1991 to 1992 and provided the voice for Mr. Simmons in the Nickelodeon show Hey Arnold from 1997 to 2002, reprising the role in Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie in 2017. Butler has also appeared in films such as Enemy of the State (1998) and Sniper 2 (2001). Born in Huntington, Indiana, and raised in Fort Wayne, he received the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship while studying drama at Purdue University Fort Wayne in 1975.
